Small Town Bright Future: City of Duncan Official Community Plan Update

Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Linkedin Email this link

Do you live, work, and play in the City of Duncan?

The City of Duncan is completing a comprehensive review and update of its 2007 Official Community Plan (OCP). The OCP is a City planning document that establishes the community's vision for the future of Duncan and lays out the goals, policies, and framework to achieve that vision.

The OCP guides Council decisions on things like housing affordability, development (height, design, parking, trees), climate change, supports for businesses, and bike lanes. A draft of the proposed new OCP was completed in Fall 2022 and the City is providing additional opportunities in Spring 2023 to provide feedback on the plan.

Thank you for participating!

Thank you to everyone who attended our drop-in community information meetings and provided feedback on the proposed OCP!

We are working on summarizing and analyzing the feedback received at the community information meetings, and through survey responses, letters, and emails sent to the City.

The input you have provided will be shared with Council to determine if changes are needed to the proposed new OCP before it is finalized.
