In 2024, the City of Duncan received a grant from the ChildCareBC New Spaces Fund to build a new child care facility in McAdam Park at 820 Wharncliffe Road. The new child care facility will be constructed near the existing child care building in the park (near Castle Place) and will accommodate 12 children aged 0-3 and 24 children aged 3-5 (36 new, additional spaces total).
The City is currently in the design phase of the project, with construction anticipated to commence in 2027. As the design is developed, the development plans and drawings will be added to this page, along with an anticipated timeline for construction and opening. At this stage, the preliminary architectural plans are available for viewing and can be accessed under Documents.
